Chick’s Electric Motor Service in San Diego, California is complimented by our sister company in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Chick’s Equipos Industriales de Mexico, SA de CV was established by the Van Proyens in 1997 to meet the industrial infrastructure needs of Northern Baja California. Chick’s Equipos Industriales provides all the same products and services as Chick’s Electric Motor Service. The repair of large electric motors is performed in our San Diego shop. | |

Welcome to our shop and warehouse. Chick’s Electric Motor Service was founded in 1964 as a small motor repair shop. In 1986 Chick’s Electric was purchased by Dirk and Alice Van Proyen who rapidly transformed the company into a full service industrial motor repair shop. We can now service any electric motor from sub-fractional to multi-thousand horse power. Additionally we sell new electric motors from small to large, variable frequency drives, motor controls and power transmission products.
